My name is Kambria and I am a mother to a wonderful toddler boy and baby girl, trying to do my best. When I found out I was pregnant with my son, it brought a whole bunch of emotions. I was intimidated, nervous but more excited to have a new addition to our family. Even though I’m the oldest of six siblings and have had experience with children, becoming a mother gave me some anxiety feeling like I didn’t know what I was doing and worrying that I wasn’t going to be enough. When I was expecting my second, new emotions became apparent as well and I am still trying to navigate through those each day.
I strive to be the best Mom every day, but that progress doesn’t just happen without putting forth effort. From preparing for pregnancy to the present, I am constantly looking for ways I can progress as a mother, wife and personally. I feel so much responsibility to my son, daughter and husband to be the best I can be. I look for help through research, persistently asking questions of others, reading parenting and self-help books, and pondering about my direction as a mother. There are countless decisions that parents make every day for their children. How do you care for yourself and baby through pregnancy? What kind of baby supplies are the best for me and my child? How do you productively breastfeed? What are the various development stages and what do I need to be aware of in each one? How to incorporate the best schedules and implement routines, activities, meals and time for you? It’s easy to get swallowed by the information and it’s hard to know how to move forward effectively while feeling comfortable and confident.
Each mother is unique and special to her specific children. When it comes down to it, mothers are distinctive. Each Mom knows what’s best for her children and is specifically in tune with their needs. There is no perfect parenting. The goal and mission of this blog is to hopefully give each mother a direction on how to meet the needs of her specific children and be the best Mom she can be for her individual situation. I’m grateful for the opportunity to be a mother and if I can help any other mother along the way through what I have learned and experienced, it would give me great joy.
